Hi! I am Iolanda and I was born in Sicily, where I currently live after spending several years working abroad.
I’ve been working in the tourist industry for 15 years. Then, I decided to open my own agency to help visitors discover this beautiful island through the eyes of a local. Thanks to the professional skills I have acquired over the years and my love for my homeland, I have been building tailor-made trips for a few years now, which are increasingly becoming popular.
My greatest passion is travelling, and as i travel a lot, over the years I have realised that when you travel to new places it is always a richness to meet someone local who can show you places that are less touristy, or live experiences that you would never have done on your own.
And this is how SICILY IN TRAVEL was born.
I’m a Sicily travel guide and I can organize for you any kind of holiday experience, from single to multi days.
Why Sicily in travel?
What we all do at an early stage of organising a trip is to look for information online and often we find information that is generic and based on the popularity of places, so having someone who can advise and guide you in choosing the best places to visit in a certain place is always a plus.
I, with my agency, want to offer you the chance to discover Sicily in all its historical, cultural, religious, folkloristic, naturalistic and culinary beauty and as genuine as possible.
How do I design the experience?
My tours are always tailor-made and based on your travel requests and desires, you often write to me with ideas of what you would like to see and do in Sicily, and I am here to help you making your choice by recommending the most characteristic places to visit in your scheduled time.
Once i have all the information clear I start designing the tour, after a first draft with the proposal, we review it together and see if you like to make any changes.
My strong point, I believe, is the deep knowledge of my territory, the love for my island and the desire to make you experience Sicily in a different and non-touristic way, but in a real and genuine way. I am really glad when people have a memorable holiday.
